The Centre’s main objective is to exchange the best practices and results and to facilitate the creation of thematic networks between cities around the world.
Venti di Cultura from Venice, Italy is a non-profit organisation founded in 2006 in order to promote projects aiming to foster cultural exchange and awareness, with the attention of the implementation of cultural routes along the Mediterranean coast.
Since its establishment, the Association has already undertaken two main projects: the first one (2006-2008) goes on the trail of the lion of Venice (www.sullealidelleone.it); while the second one (2007-2009) goes on the trail of the cathedrals of the sea along the Italian coast (www.cattedralidelmare.it). Nowadays, with a new draft itinerary on the Venetian lagoon, the Association proposes a third project aiming to enhance the natural and cultural features of the archipelago of Venice.
The conference "Cultural Territorial Networks for the Heritage of Waters", organized by ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) and the Association Venti di Cultura is organised 18th of April 2011 on the occasion of International Day of Monuments and Sites promoted by ICOMOS, dedicated this year to the "Cultural Heritage of the Waters". »»
